Day 2: A Season to Wed release party

Hello Clean Romance Reads Crew!

Welcome to Day 2 of A Season to Wed holiday. Okay, I just made that up. It seems like there's a holiday for everything nowadays, huh? Speaking of holidays...which is your favorite and why?

What's your favorite holiday tradition?

Do you love white Christmases or are you a snow bird?

Incidentally, my poor heroine ends up with her catering kitchen roof caved in during a blizzard...and has to accept help from her former high school bully.

Do you think you could do that? How would you react in that situation?

Leave a comment by 11pm CST about any of the above to be entered to win a FREE copy of A Season to Wed, which includes my novella Serving Up a Sweetheart.

Thank you SO much for stopping by. You are the best!

I LOVE to stay in touch. So don't forget to sign up for my newsletter for goodies, news, fun and freebies exclusive to subscribers.
Grateful,

Cheryl Wyatt

  1. I've never experienced a white Christmas, but I'd love to! Many years ago, my family spent Christmas in Florida. It just didn't feel right sitting around the Christmas tree in shorts.

    1. I haven't either but then I have never seen fresh snow.

  2. Living in Mississippi, we rarely have a white Christmas...but that said, I have experienced 3 and one was over 12 inches.

    1. White Christmases are gorgeous...but I hate driving in snow and especially on sleet or ice. LOL!

  3. Jill, I love white Christmases but we only get them once every few years. One year it snowed on Halloween here...really rare October snowstorm and that year it snowed again...a ton...on Christmas Eve. I loved it. That's funny about Florida. We have family in Florida so we go there at some point around Christmas. It always cracks me up to see the beach-attired Santas and bikini-clad Mrs. Clauses among the Christmas lights. Thanks for coming by today.

  5. I love the holiday season in general but enjoy Thanksgiving over Christmas, because it seems more relaxed and not so full of pressure.

    1. Yes, I can see that. It's more stressful for the host for sure. I'd love to do a post sometime on how to de-stress and lessen pressure during the holidays. I'd love your input if you're up for it. Hugs and thanks for stopping by!

  6. I love this holiday season and Christmas for sure is my favorite! Traditions includes cooking a big meal together and watching classic movies. It's a Wonderful Life is our fave! And of course a white Christmas! Snow angels and Frosty the Snowman! Lol.

    1. My mother-in-law loves It's a Wonderful Life too! Watches it with my girls every year. I think there's another one she really likes but I can't remember the name. It's a Brady Bunch style theme where he and she get together and they each already have a lot of kids. Seems like there was a ship in it of some sort and maybe the dad gets deployed on it...and she stays home with the kids and their antics. Sound familiar at all? I LOVE Frosty. I love snow. Serving Up a Sweetheart has a snowman in the opening scene. :-)

  8. Christmas is my favorite, and while I adore white Christmases, my favorite tradition is getting together with as much family as we can gather together!

  9. Snow, snow, snow, and more snow! There can never be too much snow lol. But then I don't live where blizzards hit either. And if one does, it shuts things down for days and I love it! Snowmen, snowballs, snow forts, snow cones, snow bunnys, snow leopard, snow crab, Snowshoe, snow storms, and of course, snowball fights. I love winter!

    1. Oh yes! Except, maybe we're lazy because we drive. LOL! There's a place near us called Candy Cane Lane and every house in the neighborhood has elaborate lights and people drive from a state away to see it. Lots of nativity scenes too which I love seeing.

  11. Gotta be a white Christmas!! Growing up and still living in MI it is pretty much a given. I couldn't imagine it any other way.

    1. Lucky!!!! I grew up in the desert and we had more snow there than we do where I live now. LOL! I'd love to live in a northern state with tons of snow. Thank you for coming by!

  12. I love the snow, but we rarely get it here in the northern California valley. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is having my grandchildren craft a new ornament for my tree each year.

    1. Awww! I look forward to that...many years from now. LOL! I still have kids at home and one of them makes clay ornaments and things. She has no idea how talented she is. I love the homemade ornaments best. Maybe this year you'll get some snow for the holidays. Thank you so much for coming by.

  13. I think Christmas, because we are usually able to have most, if not all, of our kids home that day. Plus, it's Jesus birthday!
I love snow on Christmas, but alas, as a southerner it usually doesn't happen. One year they were predicting snow on Christmas days for weeks in advance of Christmas.
Yeah, right, I will believe when I see it! But, lo and behold, it did snow on CHRISTMAS DAY!!! Not very much and it didn't stick, but still, SNOW ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!!
Our family's favorite tradition is to open one small present on Christmas Eve.
I would be greatly stressed if I had to cope with a collapsed roof, but could deal with it. I have had similar and worse things happen at the worst of times.
Thank you for the lovely giveaway. Good luck and God's Blessings to everyone!

    1. Yes! Jesus is the best reason. I love that you got snow on Christmas Day! That is cool.

We have that Christmas Eve tradition too...it's usually a book for the kids. Thankfully they each love reading. :-)

Thank you for coming by and for your sweet words! I love the love growing here!

  14. to answer your fist question first could I accept help from my former bully. I am not sure. It happened in high school and it has affected me for the rest of my life to the point when I see him in a store I have to get out or if I see him in the supermarket I quickly go another way. So to work with him would be a real struggle. If he could apologise it may help.

whats my favourite holiday I would have to say Christmas. No to a white one (not when it can be over 100!) We have had cold ones. One of the traditions is on Christmas eve watching the Carols in Candlelight from Melbourne on TV. We also have our own in the town square normally the Sunday before Christmas which is moving and lovely cos so many from the community come out. Because of my issues with noise I can no longer go but do enjoy the ones on the tv.

I have started a new tradition since mum passed away. Christmas is very much just me now and I started my own Christmas village. (I need some people for it) but I have several houses and shops and a few Christmas characters for it.

    1. Forgot to say we always go to church on Christmas day for the Christmas day Service. It wouldn't be Christmas without going to the service (unless you are really sick like I was a couple years ago)

  15. I enjoy attending a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service. Where I live in Texas, there is little chance of snow. In 2007 I enjoyed a white Christmas while living in Colorado Springs. It was so beautiful!

  16. White Christmas is common where I live. It's fun we usually sit in the great room on Christmas morning and open presents and drink hot chocolate in our pyjamas. Christmas is definitely the most wonderful time of the year for we remember the birth of Christ in Bethlehem long long ago.

    1. Hot chocolate and Christmas morning just seem to go together, don't they? Factor in snow...and it's a blessing to behold as we remember our Savior's birth.

    1. I hope you have a neighbor who can take over the shoveling for you. The snow would be all the more wonderful if we didn't have to shovel it, huh? Thankfully my husband has a bobcat he uses to do our drive and pretty much everyone in our neighborhood because the snow plows don't often come down our roads, just the main one running through town.

  21. White Christmases are the best! Unfortunately I now live in south Texas so those are no longer something we get to enjoy. Christmas is by far my favorite holiday, not only because it's a special time with family but because we celebrate the birth of our Savior!! In my family ( the whole extended family included) we have 4 traditions that happen every Christmas. All the kids get to open a present on Christmas Eve. They all know what these gifts are. They are new PJs from Grandma and Grandpa to sleep in......for sweet dreams! :) The next morning my nephew making s homemade cinnamon rolls while Grandpa makes homemade hot chocolate. Mmmmm....so good. Then, right before the presents are to be opened, one of the kids reads the Christmas story from the Bible and we have a time of prayer. It's a time to reflect on the reason for Christmas before the chaos begins. Lol. I love love LOVE this special family time!!!

  23. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love decorating the tree. I have collected ornaments over the years that represent family milestones, countries we have visited, etc. We rarely get snow for Christmas in Atlanta. I would love a light dusting. Anything more than a dusting can paralyze the city!

    1. So true! We drove through Alabama once during a snowstorm and cars were skidding off the road on both sides because folks weren't used to driving in it. Not too many snow plows down south either. LOL! That is a great tradition with the ornaments that represent family milestones and countries. Wonderful. Thank you for stopping by and sharing!
