Welcome to our blog! I’m Tamara Leigh, a Speech-and-Language-Pathologist-turned-novelist in 1993 when I signed a contract with Bantam Books for four medieval romances. These were followed by three more with HarperCollins and Dorchester, earning awards and spots on national bestseller lists, including the USA Today bestseller list.
In 2006, my first inspirational contemporary romance, Stealing Adda, was released—yes, quite a leap from medieval romance, but a fun change of pace. In 2012, seven contemporary romances later, I returned to the historical romance genre with the 5-book Age of Faith series. If you’d like a glimpse of what this genre is all about, visit my website and follow the link to receive a free ebook of the first in the series, The Unveiling: http://www.tamaraleigh.com
When not in the middle of being a wife, mother, and cookbook fiend, I bury my nose in a good book and my writer’s pen in ink. I live near Nashville with my husband, a Doberman who bares his teeth not only to threaten the UPS man but to smile, and a feisty Morkie named Maizy Grace who keeps me company during long writing stints.
Now before you go, don’t forget to enter the drawing for a KINDLE VOYAGE here on Clean RomanceReads Café!
AND to celebrate our new blog, I'm giving away a copy of The Unveiling audiobook from Audible.com and Lady At Arms ebook. After you meet Patricia (who is also giving away a couple of neat books) enter our Rafflecopter!
Hi everyone from Northeast Mississippi! I'm so glad you've visited our new blog.
I'm so excited to have a place to gather and discuss everything from books to life, and anything in between.
Oh, I don't think I introduced myself. I'm Patricia Bradley, and recently (as in just the past two weeks!!!) made the USA Today list with A Heartwarming Christmas. It's an anthology with eleven other Harlequin Heartwarming authors.
In 2013, after over thirty years of writing, my first romantic suspense, Shadows of the Past, was released from Revell.
Since that time, I've written three more for Revell and two for Harlequin Heartwarming.
Right now I'm working on a new series, and I'm not certain what the name of will be! My working title is Memphis Cold Case Series, and I've titled the first book The Case of the Murdered Roommate.
When I'm not writing, I like to visit my daughters and granddaughter and granddog in Florida, and sometimes I throw mud on a wheel and see what comes out. If I'm still long enough, my shelter cat Suzy, will sit in my lap.
Before I go, be sure to enter both contests! For the Rafflecopter, I'm giving away a digital copy of my first Harlequin Heartwarming book, Matthew's Choice and a copy of Shadows of the Past (print for US addresses).
Rafflecopter ends the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so let your friends know!

When I read "Clean Romance Reads Cafe", I'm thinking about all the great stories like Pride and Prejudice - all clean! I've only recently (past 2 months) been exposed to the Love Inspired series, and I just love them. So when I saw the title, then the photo of 3 gals laughing over a cup of coffee, I just think how great! It's a blog about us gals chatting and sharing about what we love most - books! I'm thrilled to be able to discuss books and meet new authors. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy sign in is Annie JC, btw.
DeleteAnnie, that's what I thought when I saw the photo! Thanks for stopping by this morning. Be sure and grab a cup of hazelnut coffee. :-)

DeleteThank you for joining your prayers with ours, Debbie :)
DeleteThanks for sharing a bit about yourselves, I think I am going to enjoy this new blog!
ReplyDeleteThe blog photo reminds me of sitting down with my Mom and sister and catching up, sharing new discoveries etc...
Patty, that is so sweet! Look forward to talking more!
DeleteOur pleasure, Patty!
DeleteHello on this very beautiful day. (20 miles north of Boston and it is 73 out side) I am very thrilled in meeting all 8 fantastic authors --although I only know MaryLu I am anxious to delve into new books by new authors .
ReplyDeleteHello to Debbie aka Chappydebbie. I think I went to a tea party a while back. It was a virtual tea party and I was amazed at the pictures of gowns , tea sets, hats etc that was posted by some of the ladies.
I am listening to MarLu's "the Reckoning " on my IPod and even though I have read it I love listening to it.
I have started a list of books from these lovely ladies that I can put on my Wish list.
Thank you again for this site..
Elsie, it is a beautiful day here in North Mississippi, too. So glad you are joining us. Maybe we need to have a tea party!
DeleteOur pleasure, Elsie! The audiobook of The Reckoning is beautifully done.
DeleteAs that was my 1st virtual tea party I fell short of being a able to show off my beautiful old fashion gown, so I stayed back with the help and watched. Then quietly walked away before someone could tell me to help with the clean up.
DeleteThis is kind of lame, but I thought of a computer desktop wallpaper/image because it's quite a large header! =)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading more from this blog!
(p.s. Zekkaina on rafflecopter)
It is large header but I think it really looks inviting. Thanks for stopping by Zekkaina!
DeleteHi Zekkaina! Thank you for popping in. I hope you have a lovely evening.
DeleteThanks!
DeleteI agree, it is very inviting. =)
Yay! Tamara, you are one of my all time favorite authors. Just getting that out there right away. Lol. Patricia, I can't wait to learn more about you! What a neat place this will be.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! Thank you so much for dropping by--and being a bright spot in my day. Your kind words inspire and encourage me. Will get that scene done yet!
DeleteThank you, Susan! I can't wait to discuss books with you!
DeleteGoodmorning! Tamara I am so looking forward to your next book. I am hoping it comes before the Christmas break so I have plenty of time enjoy it😊 It's nice that there is another place to go to "get the scoop" on what your up to. I hope you all have a great Friday!
ReplyDeleteRebecca, so glad you stopped by!

ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca! Sorry to be so late in responding. Crazy life of mine! :) Thank you for your kind words. Baron Of Emberly is slated for a December release. If all keeps going as it's going, I expect it will be available right before Christmas. Now back rescuing my damsel in distress :)
DeleteSo much talent in this post! Congratulations on your writing accomplishments.
ReplyDeletePatricia, I love you and the ladies @ Heartwarming, such a wonder and talented group.
Thank you, Jill! So glad to see you here. Can't wait to sart discussions.
DeleteThank you for stopping by, Jill! Have a lovely day.
DeleteWhat a lovely site. I write Pride and Prejudice variations that are clean reads. Some poor readers assume that ALL P&P variations are clean because Jane Austen's is appropriate for all ages. Boy are they surprised with what is out there.
ReplyDeleteBest of wishes to you all.
Welcome, J. Dawn, I love to be able to read a story without worrying about the language, sex and violence. It's the kind of stories I write.
DeleteThank you, J. Dawn!
DeleteThis is a wonderful opportunity for those who truly enjoy clean romance to see what our favorite authors are up to! Tamara is an amazing author and can't wait to get to know Patricia's writing as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cgard. Come on back this week. We have a lot of good posts coming up.
DeleteAll you just made my day, Cgard! Thank you so much. I'm thrilled you've enjoyed my tales. Wishing you a fantastic day!
DeleteThe photo made me think of friends enjoying a cup of coffee and a good book together.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we were going for, Robbie. Thaks for stopping by!
DeleteMe too, Robbie. Love that!
DeleteLove the idea for a clean reads blog! All the best ladies. I wish that sitting still resulted in my cat sitting on my lap 😉
ReplyDeleteThank you, Catherine! Lol about your cat. Mine never misses an opportunity to get in my lap when I'm trying work!
DeleteThank you, Catherine! I'm with about the lap sitting. In my case it's a restless little Morkie. Though she does like to lay beside me or at my feet :)
DeleteI just love to read a good story...Nothing graphic needed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, Jewel! I hope you have a marvelous day.
DeleteChecking out a good book with my girl friends while we are at our favorite cafe.
ReplyDeleteHey there, Cheryl! I hope your day is bright!
DeleteYour blog photo make me think of a beautiful moment in ones life of joy , happiness and content for the love of friends and reading, Giggling together thinking that just maybe you can dream of a night in shining armor or that cowboy or military man ... and so forth ... coming and embracing you with love , passion and sincerity,, yep I get that and more loll :)
